Self-reflection
1. What part of the process (Brainstorm what to write, research and interview, and then write your article) is the most difficult? Which is the easiest? The most difficult part of the process is probably figuring out what your topic is and the angle you want to expand on while you write. The easiest part is probably typing up all the questions after the interview and just putting it all together for the reader.
2. What surprised you about the process?
The interview part is actually a lot less nerve-wracking than you’d think it’d be. It's just like having a normal conversation.
3. Some of the challenges I’ve faced while writing about my topics is not having enough background information, not receiving detailed info from the interviewee, and not having a strong, interesting topic to begin with. Without an interesting topic, your interest in that article will diminish.

What interests you about journalism (web design, writing, photography, graphic design, power, prestige, etc)?
Writing and photography are the two aspects of journalism I have the most interest in. I have personally enjoyed writing all throughout my high school career, regardless of the topic, and want to learn how to incorporate art and photography into my future works.
Would you rather do something just to get it done, or do it with the intent of doing it well?
I would rather do something with the intent of it being done well, it has more meaning that way and just all around makes me feel more confident about my work when I know I put real effort into it.
Who are your role models?
My role models are the two most influential people in my life, my mom and my sister. They are encouraging, determined, and always give the best advice on what to do in any situation.
What motivates you?
The idea of being behind or not understanding something fully motivates me to continue working, even when I don’t have the energy to.
What kind of music do you like? Why?
The type of music I listen to is usually alternative pop, indie, as well and hip hop, but honestly, I’ll listen to anything that isn’t country. I like these genres the best because you can truly feel each song, and songs that make you feel something are the best.
